Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) in Community Health is a two-year postgraduate program that emphasizes health promotion, disability prevention, and rehabilitation at the community level. Rehabilitation strategies are tailored for diverse populations, including older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from injuries or managing chronic illnesses. The program includes ergonomic assessments, workplace health initiatives, and preventive physiotherapy targeting lifestyle-related conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases.
Key competencies developed include home-based rehabilitation, disability management, women's health physiotherapy, and community-based rehabilitation (CBR) for conditions like stroke, cerebral palsy, and musculoskeletal disorders.
