The East Point Group of Institutions (EPGI) hosted the Inauguration and Induction Programme for the 2026–27 batch of first-year students across Allied Health Sciences, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy at the EPCHE Quadrangle, Jnanaprabha Campus, Bengaluru.
The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Mallikarjuna M. N., Deputy Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). Also present were Dr. D. Prem Kumar, Dean & Director (EPCMS & RC); Dr. G. Indumathi, Dean Academics (EPGI); Dr. Vineeth Chandy, Principal (EPCP); and Dr. Prasanna Mohan, Principal (EPCPT).
Addressing the students, Dr. Mallikarjuna M. N. emphasized the growing global need for skilled healthcare professionals. Citing WHO data, he noted that despite a health workforce exceeding 70 million, the world faces a projected shortage of 11 million health workers by 2030. He urged students to focus on deep conceptual understanding, practical competence, and patient care grounded in ethics and dignity.
Highlighting the institution's vision, Sri S. V. Pramod Gowda, CEO of EPGI, stated: “In line with our Founder's vision, we aim to bridge quality healthcare education with compassionate service. We are dedicated to building our students' clinical competence and providing a platform to serve society with integrity.”
Reinforcing this mission, Sri S. V. Rajiv Gowda, CEO of EPGI, added: “We remain committed to offering an experience-centric environment that equips students in Allied Health Sciences, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy to become compassionate, industry-ready professionals.”
The programme featured a Welcome Address by the Principal of EPCP, a student address by Dr. G. Indumathi, and concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Principal of EPCPT. The induction warmly welcomed the new cohort into the East Point family.
East Point College of Medical Sciences & Research Centre celebrated Graduation Day 2026, marking the successful graduation of 165 medical students, including 154 undergraduate and 11 postgraduate graduates.
The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. S. Chandrashekar Shetty, former Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, who inspired graduates to uphold professionalism, compassion, ethical values, and lifelong learning in their medical careers. The event was attended by Smt. B. L. Ramadevi, Chairperson, East Point Group of Institutions; Sri S. V. Pramod Gowda and Sri S. V. Rajiv Gowda, CEOs; and other dignitaries.
A highlight of the ceremony was the Hippocratic Oath, reaffirming the graduates' commitment to ethical medical practice. Outstanding academic achievers were honoured, with Rakshitha G receiving the Overall Best Outgoing Student (Academics) award.

East Point Hospital in collaboration with Government of Karnataka, organized the Pulse Polio Immunization drive on March 3rd, 2024, as part of the nationwide Pulse Polio immunization drive. This initiative aimed to administer oral polio vaccine to children below the age of five years.

The inauguration of the Football & Basketball Court at East Point "Jnanaprabha" campus, Bangalore took place on February 22nd, 2024. Smt. B.L. Ramadevi Venkatpathi, our beloved Chairperson, inaugurated the court. The ceremony was graced by Sri S.V. Pramod Gowda, Trustee & CEO, EPGI, Sri S.V. Rajiv Gowda, Trustee & CEO, EPGI, Dr. Prakash S, Sr. Vice President, EPGI and all the Heads of the Institutions, Teaching, non-teaching and students. The event brought together students, faculty, and guests in a jubilant atmosphere, reflecting EPGI's ethos of unity. The unveiling of the new facilities was met with enthusiasm, embodying the excitement within the community. Students from East Point College of Engineering and Technology (EPCET) and East Point College of Higher Education (EPCHE) participated in "SPARDHA 23," the State Level Intercollegiate Sports Fest hosted by CMR Institute of Technology, Bangalore, on December 14th, 2023, and emerged as the champions in the Throwball Tournament! The management, Heads of the Institutions, and all the teaching & non-teaching staff at East Point congratulated the team for their outstanding achievement.
