Introduction
The East Point Group of Institutions has established the Internal Quality Assurance Cell
(IQAC) during the year 2019. The IQAC will play a pivotal role in ensuring and enhancing
the quality of education, research, and overall institutional performance.
The IQAC being an integral part of every college works towards realizing the goals of
quality enhancement by developing a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic
improvement in different aspects of functioning of the college.
The IQAC assures the stakeholders i.e., students, parents, teachers, staff, management,
funding agencies and society in general β of the accountability and transparency in the
quality management system of the institution and its concern for ensuring quality of
education being imparted.
Internal Quality Assurance Cell is a step towards excellence. It conducts open forum to
provide interface between students and officials of the college. It conducts staff
assessment to provide valuable feedback for quality sustenance and improvement in
teaching, learning and research experiences in the college.
It admires to prepare the documents and reports various activities of the college for
various higher education requirements and as per the needs of Accreditation Purpose
NBA/NAAC as per as concern.
A continuous follow up has been made on infrastructural resources of the college to
assure adequate, appropriate, and better facilities to assure conducive and enabling
environment for teaching, learning and research. Through all these measures IQAC
happens to be one of the important components of the college which ensures quality and
continuous improvement in all the units / aspects of the college.

Objectives:-
The primary aim of IQAC is
1. To Develop a Quality System by establishing and maintaining a robust quality
assurance system for the all the institutions of East Point.
2. To Ensure Continuous Improvement for foster a commitment to continuous
improvement in all aspects of the institution's activities
3. To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement
through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices
4. To Monitor Academic and Administrative Performance of the institution against
pre-established benchmarks and criteria

Composition
- Chairperson: Head of the Institution.
- A few senior administrative officers.
- Three to eight teachers.
- One member from the Management.
- One/Two nominees from local society, Students and Alumni.
- One/Two nominees from Employers/Industrialists/stakeholders.
- One of the senior teachers as the coordinator/Director of the IQAC.
Functions
Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are:
- Development and Application of Quality Benchmarks: IQAC establishes and maintains benchmarks for academic and administrative activities, as it develops mechanisms for the assessment and monitoring of these benchmarks.
- Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
- Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.
- Organization of Technical talks on OBE related themes to fill the gap.
- Documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement.
- To obtain feedback responses from students, parents, and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
- Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow-up.
