Pharmacy is a field of health sciences which deals with drugs and their cultivation, collection, storage, analysis, biological standardization, formulations, mode of action, pharmacological screening and interaction along with topics on diseases, their diagnosis and prevention. This course also provides the necessary skills to practice the profession of pharmacy in hospitals, community pharmacy and healthcare departments, pharmaceutical industries and research academics by maintaining the high standards of professional ethics in discharging the professional obligations.
Career opportunities:
A B.Pharm. degree holder has job opportunities in pharmaceutical industry, regulatory affairs, healthcare sectors, R & D and clinical research sector, medical transcription, etc..
An aggregate of 40%* or more in PUC or XII standard, with physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects and one of the following optional subjects, mathematics, computer science, biology and electronics. For SC/ST and OBC candidates: Minimum aggregate of 35%*.

For D.Pharm. candidates: Pass with an aggregate of 50%
or more*can be admitted to 2nd year

Duration: 8 semesters (4 years).
